Last week, we reported on a tragic crash that took place in Gwinnett County. A man allegedly fleeing from a random shooter ended up running a red light and crashing into a white Volvo. The woman in the Volvo was ejected from her car and died at the scene of the crash.
The man who crashed into her stuck around to talk to the cops about what happened. 41-year old Jonathan Porch said that someone in a black SUV was shooting at him when he sped through the red light.
Porch was picking up a female friend to give her a ride. He apparently got into an argument with a man driving a black SUV. The man in the SUV chased Porch while shooting at him. There were bullet holes in Porch’s car proving that he was indeed being chased.
The woman in the car with Porch took off at the scene of the crash. The police are still looking for her. They’re also looking for the man in the black SUV who was shooting at Porch. There has been no additional information released regarding the suspect.
Now that the investigation has been completed, several charges have been filed against Porch. These include: vehicular homicide; possession of a controlled dangerous substance; reckless driving; failure to obey traffic laws; and operating a vehicle without a license.
Now that the investigation is complete, the family of the woman killed in this crash may have a claim for damages. If you or your loved one have been injured in any sort of accident, call our office. You can sit down with an experienced car accident lawyer who can answer any questions you may have.
